So, Sean has something called laryngo-tracheomalacia. It's a fancy word for a simple problem he'll eventually grow out of. =) The muscles in his throat are weak, and so when he breaths his trachea collapses in and makes him sound like a turkey. It's a lot louder when he's awake, but it also usually sounds like he's suffocating when he gets excited, so we taped it while he slept.

Okay, so Sean Trevor Melbihess is finally here!!! He arrived on October 17th, 2008 at 5:42pm. We were at the hospital for a grand total of about 2hrs. before he got here. They barely had time to give me an epideral. Right after I got it I shot up to 9.5cm and my water broke. We had to wait for about 30-45 minutes for the doctor to get there, and 6 pushes after she got there Sean made his grand entrance. He was 7 lbs. 10.5oz., 21.5in. But I got to say, the best part was the epideral! I thought I was going to die before they gave it to me! But after that, labor was a breeze and I didn't feel a single thing except for some slight pressure when his shoulders came out. I love that drug!!!

IT'S A BOY!!!

So, all of you know that we do girls in my family, and we do them well! But now we'll see how we do with boys I guess =) We went in for the ultrasound on July 16 (the day before my birthday) and this is what we saw...IT'S A BOY!

ps-this is probably the only post you'll see until the baby is born...I'm not much of a blogger =(
